Formerly of Hardrock Quarry, Stoney Brow are long term supporters of the Scout Group. Managing Director Simon Ratcliffe was a Scout in Upholland and has the rare privilege of being one of our very few Queen’s Scouts. The Ratcliffe family came to our aid when we had to vacate our store in St.Joseph’s College and continue to support the Group.
L&T supply and can work all types of decorative and architectural stone, cut stone products, architectural features, landscape supplies and water features.

George Waterworth and Sons Ltd of Dalton are the areas leading dairymen and are very long term supporters of the Scout Group. Very old former Scouts recall Scout camps on their field in Dalton in the 1960’s. More lately they’ve been key members of our expansive water activity programme with the Cubs & Scouts.
David Waterworth, who runs the business nowadays makes doorstep deliveries of farm fresh pasteurised milk, cream, eggs and potatoes throughout the Scout Group’s area. He can be contacted on 01695 623836

Run by the Speakman family, Field Fresh are the areas leading greengrocers with retail shops in the Concourse, Skelmersdale (next door but one to ALDI) and in the Hardshaw Centre in St.Helens. With super fresh fruit and vegetables arriving every day from their own fields and from the market you can be sure of top quality fruit and vegetables at sensible prices. When your Cubs and Scouts set off for another adventure, remember we wouldn’t be able to be have half as much fun if we couldn’t lug all our gear with us in our trailers!

James Speakman is our latest Queens Scout receiving his honour in 2013 at Windsor Castle. James is also now an Explorer Scout Leader in Parbold.
